U/Th dating of a stalagmitic sequence of the upper Pleistocene in Languedoc (France) (the 'couloir blanc, Grotte de Clamouse')
Description
The speleothem of the 'couloir blanc' in the cave of 'La Clamouse' has been taken by drilling given a 73 cm thick sequence which has been sampled on the basis of macroscopic and microscopic facies for absolute dating by the uranium series disequilibrium. This speleothem belongs to the isotope stage 5. We obtain a paleoclimatic reconstruction with the hard character of sub-stage 5.4 and the great development of sub-stage 5.1
