Description
The rf system of the SSC operated reliably during the past year and by June 1990 had completed 25 000 hours. The buncher in the transfer beamline between SPC1 and the SSC was relocated this year. New operating conditions were encountered as a result. Following tests and subsequent modifications, the buncher has worked well at the higher voltages required. The pulse selector located in the south valley injection chamber of the SSC has operated successfully during the past year. It is used to allow only one pulse in every 5,6 or 7 to enter the SSC. 1 ref
