Two forms of hydrogen on the metal surface
Creators

Description
Two types of hydrogen adsorption take place on the metal surface: the so-called r-form which increases both work function and electric resistance of pure metal, and s-form which decreases these parameters. This conclusion has been made on the basis of theoretical consideration of the problem. The data of hydrogen adsorption obtained by the method of modulation spectroscopy on a platinum cathode and the study of properties of the adsorbed hydrogen atom by nuclear magnetic resonance on Pt, W and Cu support these theoretical ideas
