Massive lepton pair production in πp and pp collisions

Description

Description of experimental data on the lepton-pair production process (Msub(μμ)> 4 GeV) in proton-proton collisions is carried out in framework of the π-meson exchange model using the data on lepton-pair production in pion-proton collisions. In the previous papers similar treatment was applied to J/PSI-meson production and large transverse momentum processes. In all the cases the values of the model parameters agree with those obtained earlier analyzing inclusive spectra of nucleons and Δ-isobar. The quark-parton interpretation of results is discussed
