Radiochemical determination of cobalt traces in environmental samples

  • 1. D. I. Mendeleev Chemical Engineering Institute, Moscow, USSR

Description

A method has been developed for cobalt determination by radiochemical interpolation with addition of an interfering element (nickel). With the use of extraction by 1-nitroso-2-naphthol in chloroform the method allows highly selective determination of cobalt at the level of 2 x 10-10 M. It can be applied for cobalt determination in the environmental samples
