Description
Small specimen test technique has begun to be applied to evaluate mechanical properties of annealed reactor pressure vessel. Also, it has been recognized and developed as one of the key technologies of an accelerator driven D-Li fusion neutron source of which irradiation volume will be limited. This paper reviews the small specimen test technique and examine its status and potential in the field of nuclear materials research. (author) 57 refs
