Description
Cytotoxic lesions of the corpus callosum (CLOCCs) are transient, reversible lesions that can have very different clinical causes. They are usually located dorsally in the splenium (barred bulge). For this reason, there are other names for CLOCCs that place more emphasis on reversibility, such as "reversible lesion syndrome of the splenium (RESLES)" or "mild encephalopathy/encephalitis with reversible splenium lesions (MERS)" [Tetsuka S. Brain and Behavior 2019; 9: e01440].

(© Thieme. All rights reserved)Additional details
