Plasma-phonon interactions

  • 1. Univ. of California, Irvine, CA (United States). Dept. of Physics

Description

The authors have previously reported on the interaction of a one-component (electron) plasma with optical phonons. They now report on more recent results on the interaction of a two-component (electron-hole) plasma with coherent optical phonons. The plasma scattering rate appears to be in roughly the same in the two cases
