Pb 210 and Po 210 determination in biological and environmental samples

Description

The method for the analysis of these nuclides are described in the present paper. According to this method the samples are treated at low temperature and corroded by nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide. After its complete destruction the samples are put in a hydrochloric solution, where the Po 210 is twice electrodeposited with an interval of 4 months between the firsts and second separation. Polonium is used for determining the concentration of both nuclides, the Pb 210 and Po 210 using Bateman equations (1910)
