Sawtooth density waves in the TUMAN-3 tokamak

  • 1. A. F. Ioffe Physicotechnical Institute, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Leningrad

Description

The anomalously large sawtooth oscillations in the electron density have been studied in the TUMAN-3 during ohmic heating of the plasma with a safety factor q/sub a/<3. The oscillation amplitude is much higher than the corresponding values found for other devices
