Large source of radioactive contamination site survey of the quality management

  • 1. Northwest Inst. of Nuclear Technology, Xi'an (China)

Description

The quality management is an important part in the radioactive survey, and provides the basic guarantee to reach the target of quality control. In a radiation survey at a site extensively contaminated by multi-nuclides, the subprojects quality control, the internal audit, the external surveillance, comparisons of the samples analyses, and the supervision as well as the guidance from the experts were adopted. The quality elements were controlled effectively, including the project design, the operation, the calibration of the equipment, the measurement status of the equipment, the data process, the results analysis and transfer, the management of the samples and the radioactive standards, the custody of the documents and the operation records, and so on. By analyzing the control status of quality elements and the quality data, all quality control sectors of the radiation survey were controlled effectively. The survey data was authentic. (authors)
