Video densitometric determinations of relative regurgitation volumes in aortic valve insufficiency

Description
A simple video densitometric method based on the indicator distribution principle in the region of interes permits the determination of the relative amount of regurgitation between the ascending aorta and the left ventricle in cases of aortic valve insufficiency. The experimental basis and early clinical measurements are described and are compared with the more conventional methods of cine angiography and radionuclide ventriculography. (orig.)

Ein einfaches videodensitometrisches Messverfahren nach dem Indikatorverteilungsprinzip in Region-of-interes-(ROI)-Technik ermoeglicht die Bestimmung des relativen Blutregurgitationsvolumens zwischen Aorta ascendens und linkem Ventrikel bei der Aortenklappeninsuffizienz. Experimenteller Grundansatz und erste klinische Messergebnisse werden vorgestellt und mit herkoemmlichen Methoden, wie Kineangiographie und Radionuklid-Ventrikulographie, in Zusammenhang gebracht.
