Description

Sesame is a project of transfer of the BESSY-1 synchrotron from Berlin (Germany) to Jordan with the aim of starting a scientific cooperation among the researchers of the Middle-East area. The goal is to generate some scientific, technological and economical fallout in this region which has suffered the Israel-Arab conflict. This synchrotron radiation facility will find applications in various domains: medicine, mechanics, archaeology, environment etc.. (J.S.)
