Spinal SPECT in disorders of the posterior arch of the vertebrae
Creators
Description
Vertebral SPECT is not currently a routine tool. The interest of this technique as a complement of planar images is exposed by P Foulquie et al. The authors insist on the rise of sensitivity and of localization accuracy of the foci as compared with planar imaging. These two factors lead to an improvement of the diagnostic value of scintigraphy which becomes able to objectivate, among other disorders, recent isthmolysis, degenerative disorders of the posterior articulations or stress apophysal lesions in sport practicing youngsters.
