Shock-wave micron-size diamond synthesis from fullerites

Description

Results of joint studies on products structure of diamond shock-wave synthesis from fullerites, conducted through methods of transmission-type electron microscopy and roentgen analysis, are presented. The study shows obvious long-range prospects for application of explosive compacting of copper-fullerite powder mixture for synthesis of coarse-size diamonds. Approbation of sufficiently effective method for purification of synthesized diamonds from nonreacting fullerites in the synthesized products is practically completed. 10 refs.; 1 fig.; 1 tab
