Quest for deconfined quark phase: a new avenue

  • 1. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Calcutta (India)
  • 2. Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar (India)

Description

The probable formation and detection of small lumps of strange quark matter in relativistic heavy-ion collisions (HIC) has been promoted as an unambiguous signature of deconfined quark phase (DQP). These aspects are analysed and investigated using a non-relativistic model (NRM) as well as the usual relativistic bag model (RBM)
