Importance of nuclear energy as continuous energy resources
Description
From the point of view of long term and globalism, the placement of nuclear energy and discussion results of effectiveness of FBR are stated. Evaluation is based on the simulation, which consisted of energy demand by IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and B2 case of SRES (Special Report on Emissions Scenarios) as a social and economy scenario. The conclusions of analytical results are 1) CO2 discharge amount will increase until about 2050 and then decrease to 2100, 2) LWR will be introduced until 2050, but decreased 2100 depend on decrease of uranium resources and 3) FBR will become main energy resources at 2100. In Japan, any kinds of energy resources are so small that nuclear energy becomes basic energy. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain nuclear energy at a low price in safety. There are some proposals on the basis of results of simulation. (S.Y.)
