Description
A multi-channel scaler system was designed for system check and status monitoring of the BESIII trigger system. It is composed of a PC, two PCI interface multi-channel scaler cards, the corresponding drivers and user programs. A total of 64 signals can be scaled and monitored in real time. The scaled data are recorded locally and some of them are distributed to the online system. In this paper, the hardware structure, software development and long time stability of the system are introduced. (authors)
