Effects of #betta#-irradiation of 60Co on polyphenol combinations in barley ontogenesis
Creators
Description
Content of polyphenol compounds-flavons and o-diphenols-in ears and leaves increases with the age of barley. Under the effect of 60Co gamma radiation on vegetating plants with a dose (13 Gy) depressing growth amount of polyphenols increases in them. This shows that polyphenols are not only regulators of plant growth and evolution but also elements of their common protective-reducing systems. Its protective functions from different stresses can be improved with the regulation of polyphenol metabolism of plants which will result in productivity stabilization
