The Gribov problem in perturbation theory
Description
Two-dimensional SU(N) gauge theories are investigated in the Coulomb gauge. We find that ordinary continuum perturbation theory produces results that disagree with the exact answers that are obtained by solving the discretized model. Correct answers are recovered when the Gribov ambiguity is properly accounted for. The method is generalizable to four dimensions. (orig.)
