Description

The solid electrolyte (CuI)0,5(β-Al2O3)0,5 has been prepared by a solid state reaction, by mixing of CuI with β-Al2O3 powders. The mixture was compacted and heated at the temperature 300 oC for 3 hours. The conductivity values of (CuI)0,5(β-Al2O3)0,5 increased with the temperature and frequency. The x ray diffraction peaks of the solid electrolyte (CuI)0,5(β-Al2O3)0,5 are dominated by the peaks of CuI than the peaks of β-Al2O3. The activation energy of the solid electrolyte is relatively stable, with the range from 0.09 eV to 0.13 eV. The conductivities solid electrolyte (CuI)0,5(β-Al2O3)0,5 at room temperature and at 300 oC are 1.48 x 10-5 S/cm and 8.33 x 10-4 S/cm, respectively
