Large transverse momentum processes and the constituent interchange model
- 1. Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Calif. (USA)
- 2. California Univ., Davis (USA). Dept. of Physics
Description
The predictions of the constituent interchange model are found to be consistent with the normalization, as well as the scaling laws and angular dependence, of measured large transverse momentum mesons and baryon cross sections. The normalization of the hadronic couplings to valence quarks is computed. Predictions for quantum number correlations between the trigger particles and away side jets are discussed. The predictions of the CIM and quark-quark scattering models are also contrasted
