Analysis of one cosmic-ray collision near 107 GeV

  • 1. Bordeaux-1 Univ., 33 - Talence (France). Lab. de Physique Theorique

Description

One giant stratospheric γ-ray family with √s 5000 GeV has been observed in an emulsion chamber flown in Concorde at 100 g cm-2. The event displays a large number of photons (nsub(γ)(> 500 GeV) = 211), an important transverse energy Esub(τ) = 600 GeV and a strong planarity suggesting a clear multijet structure. (author)
