Fast high voltage pulsers for nuclear instruments
- 1. Tokyo Univ. (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
Fast high voltage pulsers having been developed and used in our facility are described. They include (a) a high voltage pulser achieving 0.5 ns rise time (800 V), (b) a needle pulser featuring very narrow width of 1.5 ns (200 V across a 5 ohms load), (c) a pulser featuring continuously-variable pulse width (210 V, 50 ohms, rise time=3 ns, fall time=3 ns), (d) an easy-to-handle 500 V pulser (rise time=50 ns), and (e) a 2kV pulser with rise time of 2μs, using VMOS-FETs and a transformer.
