Phase diagram of the heavy-fermion superconductor UPt3

Description
A phenomenological free energy which includes a novel coupling between vector superconducting and magnetic order parameters is deduced for UPt3. Analysis of this free energy leads to a phase diagram in the H-T plane in agreement with experiment, and identifies the symmetry of the different phases. Some further experiments are suggested
