First experiences with the Soviet electroroentgenographic apparatus ERGA-MP

  • 1. Medizinische Akademie, Dresden (German Democratic Republic). Radiologische Klinik

Description

Besides preliminary objective evaluations of the image quality derived from measurements of the modulation transfer function the radiation exposure of patients was examined. It is shown that radiography with films and xeroradiography result in about the same integral dose to the patient, provided that the kV values necessary for optimum image quality are observed. In any case the voltage in xeroradiography should be higher by about 50 kV in comparison to radiography with combinations of film and intensifying screens
