Effects of irradiation with ions in β-Cu-Zn-Al

Description

The effects produced by irradiation with 170 keV Cu ions in Cu-Zn-Al monocrystals in phase β were studied. The surface of the monocrystal was almost (0 0 1). The change in the microstructure was analyzed as well as the composition induced by the irradiation with a transmission electron microscope (TEM). The formation of defects was observed on the surface of the sample and its morphology and composition were defined (Cw)
