Study of a microwave discharge in argon/helium mixtures
Description
A discharge created by a surface wave in Argon-Helium mixture is studied. First, the helium influence on plasma parameters has been studied (electron density, electric field, effective collision frequency, etc...), then, on excitation processes in the discharge. Relations between plasma lines, electron density and electric field have been established.
Abstract (French)
Ce travail consiste a etudier une decharge creee par une onde de surface dans un melange Argon-Helium. Dans un premier temps, nous avons examine l'influence de l'helium sur les parametres du plasma (densite electronique, champ electrique, frequence de collision effective, etc...), puis, dans un deuxieme temps, sur les processus d'excitation dans la decharge. Nous etablissons des relations entre les intensites des raies emises par le plasma, la densite electronique et le champ electrique. En conclusion, nous suggerons l'extension de cette etude a d'autres gas ou melanges.Files
