Miscellaneous

A graphite pile type irradiation facility for thermal neutron flux measurements in the 10-100,000 nv range

  • 1. Institute for Nuclear Research, Nuclear Reactor Physics Division, P.O.Box 78, 0300 Pitesti, (Romania)

Description

A well characterized thermal neutron field was obtained in the limits 65 nv and 34,000 nv, with good uniformity along 30 cm in vertical direction, which in suited for high sensitivity neutron detector checks. These detectors could be dosimetry, nuclear plant startup or control neutron detectors
