Description
In this paper, we discuss several properties of a static axially symmetric family of solutions of the Einstein equations. The family includes the Schwarzschild solution and, except for that solution, the family possesses singular event horizons. We calculate circumferences in and the area of a surface just outside the event horizon and comment on possible physical meanings. Next follows a rather complete analysis of the geodesics of this family of solutions. We also discuss the problem of stability of orbits
