Scission and endlinking reactions in irradiated polymers

Description
The most important chemical reactions in irradiated polymers are crosslinking, endlinking and scission. As the result of these reactions the molecular weight, the molecular weight distribution and the shape of polymer molecules are changed. A number of other polymer properties dependent on these changes are also altered such as solubility, swelling, viscosity, viscoelasticity and spin-spin relaxation times. (author)
