Description
TKO (TRISTAN/KEK/ONLINE BOX) system is a front-end electronics system developed by KEK Data Acquisition Group based on analyses of performance of CAMAC, VME and FASTBUS. It is specially suitable to the system with large number of channels of which only few ones to be hit to be handled. Parallel processing, data compression, hand-shake operation cycle, simple protocol, advanced system design and low cost are the main features of TKO. It can work as one crate data acquisition system with micro-computer for a small experiment and also can be combined into a large system with CAMAC, VME or FASTBUS together. It can also be used for a fast trigger system with large memory or with data processing system. Construction of TKO system, function of various modules of TKO and system operation procedure are presented
