Effect of preliminary cyclic deformation and high-temperature heating on corrosion cracking resistance of armco-iron

Description
It is shown that the sign alternative repeated static strain under certain conditions followed by annealing results in an intensive propagation of collective recrystallization processes in armco-iron thus impairing reducing its corrosive and strength characteristics. A semiempirical dependence is proposed for estimating the number of half-cycles of strain which at the given amplitude results in critical recrystallization
