Description

A spectrophotometric method using di-octylsulphide was developed for the determination of palladium in nitric acid medium. The optimum acid range for the determination was found to be 0.4 to 3.5 M. The metal to ligand ratio was found to be 1:2. The molar absorptivity was found to be 1x104 1/mol/cm. Beer's law was found to be obeyed in the range of 1 to 100 μg of palladium. The RSD obtained at 16μg of palladium was 6%. (author)
