Advances in containment and surveillance (C/S) which enhance the interaction between safeguards authorities and the operators
Description
Recent developments in containment and surveillance equipment and techniques offer improved interactions between safeguards authorities and facility operators. This has been accomplished by providing (1) timely information for use during, rather than after an inspection visit; (2) data simultaneously to both the operator and the inspectorate; and (3) automated means of collecting data which frees both operator and inspector personnel for other duties. Illustrative examples are given for each of these areas
