Pinning of flux lines on grain boundaries in superconducting niobium films

  • 1. Institute of Metal Physics, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, Kiev

Description

The magnetic field dependence of the volume pinning force in niobium films with Fe, Ge, and V impurities is investigated. It is shown that the main pinning centers in the films are grain boundaries, and their interaction with vortex lines is a result of electron scattering
