Measurement of reflected neutrons in a calibration room simulating realistic field conditions
Description
Experimental response characteristics of the Anderson-Braun counter, the 30 cm diam. sphere and the KfK albedo neutron dosemeter as a function of distance to a bare 252Cf source at a height of 1.5 m above the floor in the KfK calibration room are discussed. A shadow cone method was used to analyze the thermal and epicadmium contribution to the scattered neutron field up to a source-to-detector distance of 6 m
