Description
The WWR-SM type research reactor of the Central Research Institute for Physics, Budapest (Hungary) had undergone a major reconstruction in the past years. It was finished by 1990, and it will be restarted soon, after 5 years of standstill. The plans to use the reactor for scientific and applied research are outlined. The program will be centered around three projects: basic and applied research, utilization for technological problems, and educational activities. The scientific program, various applications in basic and applied research, instrumentation and expected results of research programs are outlined. Finally, cost aspects of the research reactor operations are discussed. (R.P.) 3 tabs
