Effect of kinetics of thermonuclear reaction products upon D-T plasma parameters

Description
The effect is analysed of the kinetics of the thermonuclear reaction products upon the hydrodynamic parameters of the plasma. Different procedures are presented of taking the products into account in the calculations of the thermonuclear process and the differences are compared that result from their application. The applicability regions are defined of different description models of transport of the products. It is demonstrated that even for the small-size system (R approximately lambda sub(n)) the taking into account of neutron kinetics has a substantial effect upon the magnitude of the fusion energy. The effect is defined upon the evolution of the systems of the respective factors such as: dynamic-friction forces, the way of transmitting the energy of the products to the plasma and the neutron energy left in the system. Some problems are discussed linked with the methods of numerical solving the partial differential equations that occur in the kinetic theory. (author)
