Superconductivity and its Applications

This volume is a compilation of papers delivered at the SixthAnnual Conference on Superconductivity and Applications. Over 150researchers from six countries participated in three days oftechnical sessions and discussions. As in past years, theconference once again reflected the state of the field and itscontinuing movement toward applications. While the meeting's scopeembraced the full range of high temperature superconductivityresearch, this year's sessions included extensive explorations ofapplication-oriented work. Three new sessions were added to theconference program to address progress in this area, coveringconductor development, magnetic and power applications, andmagnetic refrigeration. Sixty talks and thirty-five poster weredelivered during the sixth annual meeting. Seventy papers areincluded in the proceedings. Twelve of them are abstracted for thedatabase
