French national strategy on research infrastructures - 2021 edition

This road map about the French national strategy on research infrastructures has retained 108 objects of which the form and content are highly varied. They are not limited to just the large instruments installed on a single site, but also take distributed forms. They are also, to varying degrees, influenced by the new capacities stemming from the information and communication technologies. They finally reflect organisational methods that are highly dependent on thematic communities and the techniques that they share. This national road map comprises four categories of objects defined as follows: international scientific organisations (ISO); research infrastructures (RI, called 'big research infrastructures' in previous editions of the road map); the RI and the projects in progress or already productive.
