Description
In these paper, the author describes what QCD is and what are its best known results and applications. The emphasis is put on the connection with experiment and on the problems we encounter when we try, after a long theoretical path, to give a number to be compared with data. This is done at an elementary level, but the difficulties in the formulation of the theory and its applications are not skipped, and I show how they have been solved
