The invention has been aimed at designing a gas flow procedure for ionization chambers, which (1) allows to adjust the required internal pressure of the chamber, (2) can be realized at low expenses, (3) completely excludes - indepently of the gas and the chosen chamber wall material - the effect of the surrounding air on the measurement, and (4) enables exact determination of the internal pressure of the chamber
