Collective structure around A approx. 100
Description
B(E2) values and static quadrupole moments in 104Ru were determined by multiple Coulomb excitation experiments, in the neighboring isotopes sup(106,108)Ru post-β-decay γ-spectroscopy yielded level schemes, B(E2) ratios and E2/M1 mixing ratios. From the experimentally determined quantities information on the collective properties of the Ru isotopes is obtained by comparison to representative collective models. This comparison also includes the respective quantities for the neutron rich Sr, Zr and Pd isotope chains and a characteristic Z dependence of the collective structure is observed
