Large angle scatterings of high energy muons on matter
Creators
Description
The differential cross sections with respect to large scattered angles are calculated when high energy muons or muon-neutrinos interact with matter through the following four elementary processes: (1) Photonuclear interaction; (2) Neutrino charged current reactions; (3) Bremsstrahlung; and (4) Pair production. When the muon energies are from few hundreds GeV to ten TeV dsigma/d(cos theta) is more dominant in processes (1) and (3) than in (2) and (4)
