Proliferation resistance: Political factors
Description
Proliferation resistance measures, both intrinsic and extrinsic, could help ensure that future nuclear energy systems will continue to be an unattractive means to acquire materials for a nuclear-weapon programme, thus guaranteeing that lack of trust does not result in technology-denial. This paper describes the nuclear nonproliferation regime and the fundamentals of prevention of proliferation. (author)
