Pulse profile measurement of ultra low intensity electron beams by using a two-dimensional TLD

  • 1. Osaka Prefecture Univ., Radiation Research Center, Sakai, Osaka (Japan)

Description

A high sensitivity thermo-luminescence (TL) imaging system has been developed for the application to the measurement of electron beam profiles. This system consists of a two-dimensional photon counter, a programmable heater and TL dosimeter (TLD) sheets. The system has been successfully applied to the measurement of the profile of ultra law intensity pulsed electron beams. The position of the single photon of TL emitted from the sheet can be detected. (author)
