Level of uranium, Ra-226 and thorium in lichens, moss and wild life in central Yugoslavia
Creators
- 1. Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Sarajevo, Yugoslavia
Description
Natural radioactivity levels were investigated in the lichens, moss and in the wild life of central Yugoslavia. Uranium, Ra-226 and thorium concentrations were determined in meat and bone samples of the bear, deer and wild boar, in meat samples of chamois, and in buck's hooves and antlers. The radioactivity was higher than in grazing cattle and should be considered as additional dose for the critical population (hunters)
