Description

By means of numerous illustrations, a total survey of the actual problems in coal gasification is given. The following problems are outlined: a) The basic conversions, the kinetics, the energy demand, b) the conventional German and American processes, c) the nuclear coal gasification process now under discussion, d) the schematics of test plants under construction, e) economical considerations and estimates as well as f) main research topics. Anhand zahlreicher Abbildungen wird ein Gesamtueberblick ueber die aktuelle Problematik der Kohlevergasung gegeben. In Stichworten erwaehnt werden: a) die Grundumsetzungen, die Kinetik, der Energiebedarf, b) die konventionellen deutschen und amerikanischen Verfahren, c) die gegenwaertig diskutierten nuklearen Kohlevergasungsverfahren, d) die Schemata von im Bau befindlichen Versuchsanlagen, e) Wirtschaftlichkeitsbetrachtungen und -abschaetzungen sowie f) Forschungsschwerpunkte.
