Fluid oscillation due to steam condensation in vent system
Description
The classification on fluid oscillation due to steam condensation is made basing both on the experimental data and the linearized stability analysis. It is cleared that the frequency of pressure oscillation is deeply dependent on the steam volume; that is, high, middle and low frequency is corresponding to the volume of steam bubble, vent tube and steam header respectively. A new analytical model for the limit steam mass flux on chugging occurence is proposed, which can well explain the experimental data. (author)
